As the senior delegation advisor for Mozambique and member of the planning committee for the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit, advanced an enterprise effort that galvanized $65 billion in investments for Africa within two years.
Leveraging relationships with Congress, federal agencies, non-profits, industry groups, academics, diplomats, and media outlets, the summit built a coalition of sustained support for U.S.-Africa economic and security cooperation.
Partnership Negotiation & Signing Ceremony - Smithsonian & State Department Cooperation
Finalized negotiations and produced the launch of a high-profile partnership between the State Department and the Smithsonian Institution, focused on expanding access to arts, culture, and science education.
The historic partnership combined stakeholder engagement, storytelling, and experiential programming to help activate engagement across 21 museums and 14 research centers reaching more than 20 million annual visitors annually.
Thought Leadership and Global Festival - The People’s Playlist: diplomacy and American Music
Designed, branded, and produced an SXSW feature session that celebrated American music as a universal language, influential cultural export, and a force multiplier for diplomacy.
The event featured senior government officials, acclaimed bilingual Latin-folk singer-songwriter Gina Chavez, and the Recording Academy’s Chief Awards and Industry Officer, Ruby Marchand, as the moderator.
The discussion amplified a joint music mentorship program and highlighted how storytelling and community engagement elevate the global impact of America's music diplomacy, bridging divides and forging coalitions for change.
Creative Production & Community Engagement - FestVerde: U.S.-Portugal Friendship Forest
Designed, branded, and produced the FestVerde fundraising campaign and flagship community event, inaugurating the first U.S.-Portugal Friendship Forest and replanting 15,000 trees in an area significantly impacted by forest fires in Portugal’s beloved Pinhal de Leria.
Through cultural programming, storytelling, partnerships, and stakeholder engagement, this social impact campaign reinforced shared values, transatlantic cooperation on mutual challenges, and people-to-people ties.
